Analyze tracks?

Hello,

Would it be better to reanalyze all tracks? Do we know if the key detection software was improved?

rekordbox will tell you if the analysis is from an older version and there are tracks in need of re-analysis. It may have improved, but unless you're finding it's not accurate, I wouldn't worry about re-doing them.

Thanks Pulse. How can I know with which version of rekordbox I analyzed a track? I found around 5% that is not acurrate and maybe this can help.

Accuracy can still be an issue with the most recent version; I can't remember the version cut-off for the notice, but I did connect a drive to my own rekordbox setup the other day and had it warn me about outdated analysis data.

And... why is the button for choosing type of analysis removed in RB5? On RB4 there was a "bar" button next to the wave form (in export mode). There you could choose to analyse the track dynamically or normal. I know that you can set a mode in the control panel (I'm mostly using "normal", so in configuration panel I have chosen 'normal') but this button was interesting for analysing one specific track (once) dynamically. Now it seems I have to go to RB settings everytime I want to change analyse modes even just for one track.

@Christophe > Sorry, I'm not sure why it was removed, but my recommendation is to batch those tracks into a playlist and then change the mode and analyse all of them together. It could be not many people even used it since most have it set to auto-analyse on track import.
