There is no need to purchase anything additional as the DDJ-RB ships with a license for rekordbox. It's unlikely that someone has stolen the key as they're not sequential. Are you sure you entered a zero and not an "O" (or vice-versa)?
The only other possibility is that you've purchased an open-box or previously returned unit, in which case, the former owner may have registered the license for the software and it would need to be deactivated in order for you to use it. If that's the case, please let me know and we can direct you on how to proceed.
