@Leep > Can you clarify where you're making the changes -- to the tracks on the USB device FIRST or to the tracks in your collection FIRST?
I recently started using the Sync Manager feature in rekordbox for syncing Playlists stored on my computer. However, I noticed that it doesn't update all the info in the tracks that I change in the playlists stored on the computer even though that's what I'm syncing with. This goes especially for the cover arts and track names, which changes back to their old names and artworks. That means the USB is not synced with the playlists on my computer, 'cause the corresponding tracks have both different artworks and track names! Isn't that the whole purpose of syncing, to get exactly the same playlists and track info?
I've even tried changing the information on the playlists on the USB device, but when I "Update collection" or "Reload tag" all the tracks that I've edited changes back. I also tried sync after doing the changes on the USB, but still the same result. Why is this?
I read about something similar in an older thread, but I wanted to highlight this problem again 'cause apparently it hasn't been fixed at all. I also read something about rekordbox not noticing changes if there aren't anything that is being exported or something (which sounds very stupid 'cause then it ain't "syncing" the track info), therefore I even tried removing the tracks from the playlist on the USB and then tried syncing, but still the same. And even checked and edited the track info on the .mp3-files in their original location on my computer (and changed their filenames), but still doesn't write to the USB device's track info. The files are not write protected or anything.
It really seem like a bug to me, or some kind of faulty feature not done right. I'm using the latest rekordbox, 5.0.1.

@Pulse > The tracks in my collection FIRST, then I mentioned that I even tried changing on the USB because the first thing didn’t seem to work, and I kind of tried changing everywhere possible but rekordbox has apprently already decided for me what it wants to show.
Do I maybe need to make the changes on the specific tracks finding them after pressing ”Collection” instead of editing the tracks while in their respective Playlists? If so, that kinda means they’re not linked to the ”Collection” version of the track. I’ll try this tomorrow if you’re not suggesting something else.
If you've already exported the songs to a USB drive, you can simply export one track or a playlist for it to update the information on the drive. Album artwork is NOT updated during that process (it's a long and complicated answer), so the best thing to do there is remove those songs from the device first, then re-export them.
If you updated the information on the drive itself, you want to use the "Update Collection" function, as that will take the info on the USB drive as being newer, thus overwriting the collection data.
Alright, I got it to work somehow based on what you said. Thanks! It still makes no sense to me how all this is supposed to be logical to anyone. When you think you know the program it more or less does something else than you expected.
