Hi i how seen many posts on in forum where dj's have asked for multiple genres for tracks. However it appears this is not possible with out using another field.
I therefore would like to request this as an update for the next release of Rekorbox.
And this is why
Many tracks fit more than one genre(And i'm sure Pioneer are already aware for this). For example a track maybe listed as Techno however it contains a little Acid sound. So therefore i would like to list it as Techno/Acid. Currently i can do this in Rekordbox by creating my own genre.
But the problem is when browsing on my player via Genre (or in Rebordbox) this will only find the track under Techno and not under Acid. I would expect this track to be listed under both genre.
Please can you make this happen.
No - requesting it over and over doesn't make it more likely to be included. It's on the suggestions list and is under consideration.
Our recommendation is to use the MyTag feature for advanced genre classification, sorting, and filtering.

I've requested this in detail in the past:
unfortunately the Pioneer guys do not seem to have this on their roadmap for Rekordbox yet as confirmed by Pulse above... so the only way to make them take notice is to request this over and over again...

Thanks Pulse so how do i search for these genre under tag list on my XDJ-700. I have added the genre to the tracks via the tag list in Rekordbox (no problem). But browse sort via tag list on my player. I only seen to have the following
Playlist
Track
Genre
Colour
BPM
Key
Bitrate
Year
History
Search
Artist
Album
Original Artist
Label
[Hot Cue Bank]
Dont see any tag list and the genre is the original problem... Am i missing something here...

People need to voice if they want this. And I'm sure Pioneer will listen the more people request this...
As for "Our recommendation is to use the MyTag feature" - you should also mention that this approach ONLY works in Rekordbox, and is a no go for people needing to have their library/tags transfer to other systems like Serato and/or Traktor as well, and that the 'My Tags' is Pioneers attempt to lock its' users into their walled garden. Which might work for some for the convenience that it offers, but will not work for the majority imo and others, much bigger than Pioneer have failed trying to do... (yea Apple, we noticed you finally are adding flac support to iOS after 10 years of trying to lock out flacs in favour of alac...)

Any update no how i can Browse The Genre via Tag list on the XDJ-700 or how to use Multiple genres as the tag list doesnt really resolve the problem.
