I’m unable to bulk edit the Genre field in tracks in my Collection without it getting partway and promptly closing, half the time corrupting the RB library, meaning I have to load an old backup, try and work out what’s now missing, put the new tracks back in and then re-do all their tags. I upgraded to the latest version of Rekordbox for OSX (5.0.1) but the problem has not been fixed. I am using OSX 10.11.1.
I spend upwards of 7 grand on Pioneer gear (including the latest NXS2) and I can’t even use it, or I have to spend even more to get working software because there’s a crippled free version that can’t even perform basic tasks like editing tags without destroying my data? Ever heard of a thing called paid beta testers?
To top it all off logging in to this website to post this was nearly impossible in 3 browsers (getting “Missing required parameter” despite login and password being correct). When login was finally successful, I would be logged back out within seconds. Then, trying to make a new post puts the browser in a redirect loop (to https://www.pioneerdj.com/en/account/login/?return_to=https://forums.pioneerdj.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/new). So I’m writing this on my phone. Why does a company that charges so much for their hardware think it’s not necessary to pay their developers enough to make sure their products can actually be used by customers.
I hope Denon takes a decent chunk of your market share with their kiddie toy player. Maybe that’ll shake things up a bit and make you get off your ***es and make things work satisfactorily. The latest CDJ costs 3 grand and still takes almost two seconds to load a cue point. Insane.
