HI my new xdi 700's have just arrived and i'm having a play around with them. This might sound like a daft question but when i'm beat matching my track through headphones and the beat is coming to a breakdown so i 4 beat loop it to keep the beat matching then when i'm happy i press cue or exit the loop and cue to go back to the beginning of the track it just goes to the beginning of the loop.Does that make sense?
When you set a loop, you set the master cue to the in-point of the loop. My recommendation would be to set and use a hot cue at the start of the track so you can easily jump back to that point regardless of what you do with a loop.
The alternative is to press the track search |< (back) button once, it will jump to the start of the track, but if you have auto-cue enabled, it may cue the track and stop playback.

Thanks for the reply,I tried to use the track search buttons to go back but it took me to the previous track that was played. I’ve been used to a controller which had a shift button. :)
Usually pressing it once jumps back to the start of the track, but twice goes to the previous track.
