Rekordbox performance functions stop working mid-set

So I've bought the DDJ-RB to use on the road. and it's the perfect small controller in my opinion, everything looks and feels fine. except for the software it's used with. sometimes every single performance function ceases to work, this only happens when I load a new track. and basically has 2 degrees. degree 1 means that slip mode doesn't slip, vinyl brake doesn't work (the track stops instantly). Master tempo doesn't work and quantize doesn't work. degree 1 can sometimes be fixed by engaging slip mode and messing with the jog wheel until slipping works again. and then there's degree 2. and this is where things start to get really F*cked up. the jog's stop working completely, along with every other problem degree 1 gave. which basically means restarting rekordbox. which poses a problem when I try to use the setup during a gig. i first hoped it might be fixed by quickly jumping between performance and export. but then I found out that export is just as broken as soon as this happens in performance mode, quantize doesn't work anymore. *there isn't really anything else that I can test in export*. I tried to contact you guys via the official contact form. but those guys first claimed the problem had something to do with auto cue. and when I told them I don't use auto-cue. they said it had something to do with the DDJ-RB itself. which I thought was plausible. yet it happens with the RB disconnected too. (and in export mode the RB isn't a factor at all). I really hope you guys can come up with something a little more creative than writing it off to different things. Thanks in advance!
