I don't think so. Like Serato, Rekordbox DJ's has three important 'streams of data' going. (Not rekordbox! Rekordbox DJ!)
The first would of course be audio. that data can stream 'internal' from CD's or USB's, sent from one player to the other through ProDJLink 'protocol'. ProDJLink protocol (freely translated to be the 'language' spoken between network connected devices) can also be used to stream from external devices like PC's and Laptops. From what I've understood so far it will only send audio data (1), with the 'syncing' data (how fast is my audio being streamed?) and most like like a few 'control signals (2)' telling you the devices are connected by lighting up area's of the software and firmware.
To control the players you would need 'control data (3)' going in two directions. The player telling the laptop to start streaming and the laptop confirming the end of the track for example.
The former protocol that could be used to this is a very old one called Midi. The downside to midi is setting it up. It took a while before you could transport 'midi language' over USB in computerworld but at the moment we even have network midi.
The next protocol is the one your mouse and keyboard and for example your Wacom pen uses. That 'language' is called HID. 'Human interface devices'. I am really glad it's being used by these players. No need to setup anything. But the one disadvantage you may run into is the fact that protocol lives on USB connections as far as I have noticed so far.
So please correct me if I'm wrong and tell us the product is better then that. I do realize I have simplified that. That's why I'm a good teacher. So with correct me I mean: tell us HID between Pioneer players and Rekordbox have a build in adapter to transport HID over LAN.
