Automix in Rekordbox Dj

I totally agree. It would be very useful in different situations.It would be enough to blur it in the transition.

Aren't you guys DJs? Isn't mixing what we're supposed to be doing?

I'm a wedding Dj and the most weddings in Belgium start out really slow and boring. So I don't feel like live mixing when everybody is just mingling and such. I now have a few prerecorded mixes for those moments, but Automix would be pretty easy for those moments...

No automix in Rekordbox is a deal breaker for me.  First, let me say I an perfectly capable of mixing without automix, that is not the reason I need it.  I know there is continuous play but that can leave dead air between songs which I don't like.  If Rekordbox had an automix feature that did a quick fade out of one track and a quick fade in to another I would use Rekordbox.    

As a mobile dj there are often times when I need to step away for a variety of reasons. I am currently using VirtualDJ for the automix feature alone. Below are several examples mobile dj's need to step away.

Stepping away to line up and introduce a wedding party for the grand entrance.  It might take 5-20 minutes to get everyone in the same room and on the same page.  I need songs to transition without dead air while I am away getting the bridal party ready.

I perform at a number of 5k runs and marathons and usually set up at the start\finish line. As the runners are returning I have to move further from my rig so I can announce runners as they cross the finish line.  The music performance is not the focus at these times as much as the MC services.  I need to be further away so I can read their number, look up their name and announce them as they cross the finish line.

Another person mentioned a bathroom break. That is not uncommon either.

Business Expo's where promoting the vendors at their booths with background music playing.  

Everyone that utilizes this software is not in a club setting.  I have worked in many clubs and agree it's not as much of a deal breaker in that setting.  For me automix is useful when I need to step away.  Not having automix in Rekordbox is a big problem for some of us.  I am not a hard core VirtualDJ fan and would love to use Rekordbox if it met my needs.  If Pioneer adds automix they will pull one more customer away from a strong competitor.  

I totally agree , it will be easier for everyone and for Pioneer / Recordbox only 5 lines of code :)

The can can remove Virtual DJ from my LapTop.
