Tags lost after Sync with Sticks

Hey Guys,

I lost all My Tags, when I Sync the Cues from the Stick into the Rekordbox. (Mac OS Sierra, and XDJs 1000mk1 / CDJ2000nxs)

@Christoph > It sounds like you connected an export device and performed an "Update collection" after having made changes to your collection. What you should have done was to export again so the changes you made in the collection would be sent to the device.

I‘ve synced my collection with the sync manager on an usb stick... after i played a night in a club i‘ve changed some cues and grid informations.... at hole i synced the changed Cues and Grids from the stick into the collection, after i do this, then i lost all „my taggs“ settings

Okay, I understand you changed cues and grid info on the players and that was saved to the USB drive - but did your tracks have MyTag data BEFORE the export (before the gig), or did you make those changes after the export (before you updated the collection to apply the changes to the cues and grids)?

There's the problem -- you've basically created two different versions of the track... see if you follow...

You have TRACK, you make changes, then you export it:

TRACK-> exported -> TRACK (on USB)

Right now, they're both the same. You then take the USB to the gig, while there, you make changes to the grids and add hot cues. But before you re-sync it to import those changes, you have also added tags to the tracks on your computer.

So now you have TRACK_with_tags and TRACK_with_grids_and_cues

If you were to have exported from the collection to the USB, the TRACK_with_tags would have overwritten the song on the USB drive. But because you did "Update Collection," the TRACK_with_grids_and_cues overwrote the version with the updated tags.

TL;DR: don't edit the track in two different places, it doesn't intelligently smash the data together. Manage everything on your computer, THEN export, then after the gig, re-import, THEN make more changes on your computer.
