I am using my controller (DDJ SX2) with Rekordbox DJ. It works fine so far.
The only thing I haven't found a fix for is the PAD Illumination.
For example:
When I am in Sample Mode... the Pads only illuminate (flash etc.) when I press them. But I want them to illuminate before, so I know which pad has a sample. I don't want to always have to look at the Laptop in order to know which pad to press for what sample.
It is similar in other Modes. Whereas it is fine in Hot Cue mode. The pads are illuminated before pressing. That is how I know that a certain hot cue is assigned to a certain pad. And I can choose the color.
In the sample mode, the Pads only illuminate after pressing them. That doesn't make sense. Because I know the sample is triggered, cuz I hear it. It would be fine if it flashes for indicating that it is triggered. But I need the pads to light up all the time, once they have samples assigned to them.
How can I fix that?
There's no fix - the current design is to only illuminate when it's playing. I'll put it forward as a suggestion to have the pad dimly lit if there is a sample loaded (and bright if it's playing), as that would make more sense.

Hi guys, any chances to have the illumination ON when pad is assigned in other modes? In Beat Jump, Sampler, Roll….etc.

When the pads mode is assigned to Beat Jump, it does illuminate.

yes, but its not visible, only in absolute dark ;) The illumination of assigned pads is very poor and there is no option in Rekordbox to make it brighter.
