I can see that their are simliar posts on this topic however i need further questions answered which aren't raised in other videos.
I will be able to follow the below video as instructed:

however in following these steps will this mean that all my playlists / cue points etc will carry over exactly.
I have an extensive setup compared to the tutorial above but need to know this before i proceed.

Use the File > Library > Backup Library tool on the old computer, then File > Library > Restore Library on the new computer. You have the option during the backup phase to also copy all your audio files, but yes, the playlists, waveforms, cue points, hot cues... EVERYTHING, will be copied over using either this method, or the database move method as outlined in my video.

I sync between two computers regularly by copying changed files from the Pioneer database, music files etc and I've not lost playlists etc yet so it's safe as far as I'm concerned. Just don't copy the "activations.xml" file over as that confuses the licencing system!

Yeah, don't do that.
Either create an external database & music collection that you move between computers, or ask me about using Dropbox to do it.
Is there a technical reason why syncing changed files between computers shouldn't be done? I've been doing it for years with Traktor/VDJ/Serato and now RB and never had an issue. I sync changes before a gig (which is usually any modified/added music files and the various rb database/configuration files and then sync back after the gig. Means I have three copies of all the music collection (two laptops and a home computer), plus a copy on the portable HD I use as an intermediate drive for sync which is in a data firesafe when it's not being used.
From my point of view external drives used live add a failure point, and being in an area with a 2Mb connection that's more narrowband than broadband means Dropbox isn't an option.
