Bad firmware on the device.
Hi
I have got the same issue as this topic but then with the XDJ-RX 2.
https://forums.pioneerdj.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/203113109-XDJ-RX-Beat-suddenly-drops-offbeat-
When playing 2 tracks perfectly in sync (let's call it like that), one of the tracks suddenly skips 1/8 of a beat (like a CD player that skips a beat). This always happen between 14 and 16 seconds in a track.
This even happens when I use the SYNC function on the device itself.
This does not happen on any other Pioneer products, even not on the XDJ RX 1. I'm quite often playing in clubs using NXS and NXS 2 sets, no problem at all.
I am testing this for 2 weeks straight now, but no solution so far.
What steps did I try:
1. My USB's were on Rekordbox 4.5, I converted my whole library to Rekordbox 5.0.0, formatted one of my USB's and exported the complete library to that USB stick. Didn't work
2. Tested the above on another USB (Sandisk). Didn't work
3. Formatted the stick, upgraded to Rekordbox 5.0.1 (deleted library, added it again to analyse it again), exported that to the USB (Sandisk) Didn't help
I don't have it with all the tracks, only with certain of them. I buy them on Beatport, Google Play Music or iTunes, no stupid Youtube converter or what ever. :)
Yes, I tested the tracks seperatly on other devices, no problems there.
Anyone has any idea what I can try to solve this? I bought it 2 weeks ago and can't really use it at the fullest at this moment.
I have the music files if anyone wants them, I also have video material of me showing what I mean (it is in Flemish though).
Thanks for you help.
Kind regards
Jens

Bad firmware on the device.

Glad you were able to get that resolved - thanks for writing back. Enjoy!
Did you just re-apply the same firmware on the device??? Or how did you identify and resolve the firmware issue?
Thanks!
Yes, I downloaded the firmware from Pioneer website and installed it on the device.
That fixed it! :)
When I read the manual it says if the same firmware version number is already on the device, you will get the message "Firmware has been updated" right away but it doesn't actually reinstall it, did you see a progress bar? Mine just behaved as it says in the firmware update manual
