I please need help with Pro Link via Wifi (Laptop > CDJ's & Mixer)

Hi Pioneer team and forum members,

I purchased this Wifi router:

http://www.tp-link.com/us/products/details/cat-5506_Archer-C2.html

I have my 2 CDJ2000NXS(1)'s and DJM900NXS(1) connected up to the router via Ethernet cables and the Pro Link between these 3 work perfectly.

Now I am trying to connect from my laptop via Wifi to the CDJ's/Mixer, but I don't seem to get Rekordbox to see the setup.

There are various settings/modes I can change on my router that I have no idea about (DHCP, DDNS, Dynamic IP etc. etc....)

I have read that some wifi routers struggle to let the wifi and Ethernet connections see each other.

Desperately looking for some help as nobody at my local IT stores want to help me...

Thank you :)

Armand

@Armand > And it's possible that your router has wifi / ethernet isolation to block traffic between the two, or traffic management features (like a built-in firewall) preventing the rekordbox DJ traffic from communicating... but I would start by suggesting you ensure that your firewall is disabled, the wireless network type is set to one of the "private" options (either "Home" or "Office"), and that any other security software has been disabled.

Hi Pulse,

Thank you for the reply. Much appreciated.

I forgot to mention I am on a MacBook with the newest OSX. I did disable my Firewall.

Will try and play around with the settings on the Wifi Router and see if I can get it figured out.

Regards,

Armand

Hi Pulse,

I finally got my Pro Link via Wifi working!! A very simple trick:

First I have to power on my Wifi Router and give it a few seconds to make sure it is ready, then only after powering on my router, do I then proceed in powering on my DJM900 and CDJ2000Nxs's.

I did not change any settings on my router.
