XDJ R1 as audio interface in Ableton Live 9

Hello all!

 

I was wondering if there is a way to use the mixer of the XDJ R1 as an audio interface to record audio into ableton live 9 via USB?  Has anyone tried this? Not looking to record from the decks, looking to plug in external hardware.

UPDATE: After trying this with multiple instruments, I learned that it is possible to record audio through XDJ R1 into Ableton through USB.  In order for audio to go out of the mixer, Laptop audio must be running into aux input or Phono on XDJ R1.
