Yes; rekordbox dj is only included free with the purchase of these devices. For users of these supported (non-bundled) devices, rekordbox dj is an additional purchase, however, a 30-day free trial is available.

wait your telling me that if i bought it a year and half ago and paid over 2000$ for the controller and it did not come in a bundle i need to pay for the rekordbox program..

I'm telling you that no matter how much you paid, you bought a controller for Serato DJ, and that product is licensed for use with your DDJ-SZ. The fact the DDJ-S series controllers (not all of them, but some!) work with rekordbox is a bonus.
If you want to be able to play videos in rekordbox with your DDJ-SZ, you'll need both rekordbox dj and the dvs plus pack.
