Rekordbox low volume problems

Need some help and advice on the volume settings in Rekordbox. When playing out live either with the RX or the RB the volume output is very low compared to other dj's equipment, I would say at least half the output of traktor controllers or a denon version. Initially I thought it was an issue with the RX but have noticed same with the RB. So pls can someone advise what Audio settings I should be looking for in Rekordbox. At the moment I am having to jack the volume into the red on both the mixer (which I'm running the controller through), the gain on the mixer channel and then the main volume control on the controller, this then effects the output sound quality - which is really poor compared to other controllers as mentioned above. Within Rekordbox - preferences - controller - how should I have the output level set, I have tried increasing to -6db but thats not making much diff. Help please! cheers.

Regardless of where you're playing the audio from (source-wise), when using the XDJ-RX, DDJ-RX or DDJ-RB, there is a channel meter / master meter to be able to see what your signal levels are. Use the channel gain (on the hardware) to ensure that the channel levels are peaking at or around 0dB - typically around the 9-10 o'clock position, depending on the song. I like using the first orange LED as the peak level for visual-ease of seeing when it's at the right level. Then, with the channel fader open full and the crossfader to that side (if assigned), adjust the master level so the master meter also shows the same peak levels. The master knob will be around the 2- 3 o'clock position. This should give you a nominal output level from the master outputs.

Go to your settings and adjust the gain which is set very low.

Rick, where is the gain in the settings, I don't see it? Do you mean activate auto gain?
