CDJ2000 HID Mode - Players Swapped Round

Hi, using Rekordbox Dj / Video on a 2015 Mac running Sierra.

The setup is two CDJ2000 connected via USB to the macbook. I do this at two venues (their CDJs) and at home (on my own CDJs), so three separate sites / setups.

At one venue, when I connect everything (plug in CDJs via USB, run aggregator, run Rekordbox, click link on the CDJs, select deck number on each CDJ), the CDJs then connect fine and work the corresponding on screen deck, but the audio comes out of the opposite CDJ. i.e. the left CDJ controls the left deck on Rekordbox, but the audio is outputting from the right CDJ, and vice-versa, rich hand decks audio comes out of the left hand CDJ.

Now i can change the settings in Rekodbox to say that Deck 1 sound should come out of CDJ2 and Deck 2 out of CDJ1, but surely I shouldnt have to do this?

At the other venue, and at home, this never happens. The correct audio comes out of the correct CDJ. Why is this venue connecting strangely every time?

And the CDJs a numberred correctly in their settings in case anyone asks.

@johnny > The aggregate is your problem. Instead of going through the process of changing the outputs in rekordbox, do this:

Drag-and-drop to reposition the player and it will automatically output the 1/2 audio from the other player.

The deck number setting in the CDJ itself doesn't make a difference for output - it's the drop down setting in Recordbox Audio settings which decides which plays through which.

I had this issue the other month at a club, we were baffled, until we read further down in the aggregator pdf guide which lists this very issue in the "Troubleshooting" section :)

Thanks. Was trying to figure if I was doing something wrong, as it happens every time at this one venue. When i play at other places its fine, just have to reverse it every time there.

It does seem strange though, why setting the deck number doesnt also assign the audio output. Why would you ever want the audio coming out of the opposite player?

ok so I'm having this same issue.  For some reason, CDJ 2 was playing out of CDJ 1'S output into the mixer and vice versa.  I've switched the outputs in Rekordbox so that Deck 1 gets CDJ/XDJ (2) AND Deck 2 gets CDJ (1) so that the sound is going through the mixer correctly.   How do I change the aggregate so the signal is routed correctly?

Playing vinyl was so much easier...

Open the aggregate device within the Audio MIDI Setup application, then drag-and-drop the devices into the desired order, as shown here with the only aggregate I have on my system right now:
