I'd recommend following the instructions I've provided in this guide; it should allow you to use the NAS on all your machines - you just need to make sure each machine uses the same username and mount path to the NAS.
Hey Everyone,
I am sort of new to Rekordbox.
Here is the situation:
- i have all my tracks/music stored on NAS server (raid 6)
- i want to be able to set my cue points on my rekordbox and export it to my NAS server
- i have multiple mac pro workstations with Rekordbox which i currently copy my master music collection from my NAS to the mac pro which is where I do all my music edits, mashups, remixes and rekordbox cue points/playlist
- idieally I would like to be able to export those settings to the NAS server so that anyone in the house can import the audio files with the cue points to their rekordbox as well as myself being able to move my music around between my mac pro and the NAS server
- currently every time i take a track from my NAS server I have to redo the cue points which really is time consuming when i need to quickly create a recordbox (no pun intended) for my next DJ gig or mix set (via my macbook pro)
- in my studio we have 2 mac pro workstations and 2 macbook pro for club DJing which they all connect to the NAS server to swap out tracks every week based on the venue we play at.
*** keeping all the music on the mac or macbook pro is also not an option as I have over 14TB of music since I only DJ with .wav files ***
Hopefully someone out there has some good experience or idea.
Thanks
