Lagging/freezing Rekordbox DJ software

Does anyone else experience a software lag or freeze at times with Rekordbox DJ? Running a 2015 MBP with all latest software.

Thankfully doesn’t affect playback just scares the shit out of me frequently during a gig.

Examples:

- getting rainbow load circle and freeze quite a bit when scrolling in a playlist

- lag/freeze when loading sometimes (drag and drop load)

I’ve been waiting up to 10 seconds at times for the software to respond. How have you guys been solving this?

EDIT: I should probably also mention that I’m using a DDJ RX.

Hey guys/gals, if you are having rekordbox performance issues, please file an inquiry ticket here and our rekordbox support team will be able to gather some additional information to assist you in resolving this issue. It's the best way for our software engineers to determine the cause and create a fix. As @Jerrett says, there may be a beta which already addresses your concern, so you're always free to try that version first, but if that doesn't help, a ticket will. Thanks!

I get intermittent lags as well. Sometimes NONE at all, sometimes lags that last some 20-30 seconds. Nothing but Rekordbox running on the computer. I end up starting the board and the computer which usually fixes it but sometimes it comes back sometimes it doesn't. My computer FAR exceeds the recommended system requirements. It was the same for Rekordbox 4 and 5. I'm using DDJ-RZX.

I was dealing with this exact issue. I contacted Pioneer DJ and sent them my computer and rekordbox info. They sent me a download link for the Rekordbox 5.1.0 Beta, and it is completely fixed. It even describes this exact bug in the fixes section of the beta release notes, so it's known and fixed as of 5.1.0

The lag issues have been posted on here for a LONG time. I'll be surprised they are just now getting around to fixing it. I'll wait for the official release. Even then, It would take me a month or so before saying it fixed in absence of further lags since it was intermittent.
