What version of Android and the rekordbox app are you running?
I have a very simple question to ask. When Using Rekordbox with Android can you save the Rekordbox Library File to the Micro SD Card. It would appear that you can because in settings>library location it asks you to specify a location. If you specify the sdcard location it will crash the program.
Is there something i am doing wrong.
It addition and as a point of clarification under copy tracks when imported there is a check mark to or not to copy tracks when imported. Why does it say even though you select don't copy tracks it says the folder will be copied can someone explain this brain child.
Thank you as always.

Hi Pulse,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 4 with 16 GB and Micro SD Slot. it is running its stock Android 4.4.2
Let me know if you need anything else.
Thank you...
Thanks - passing this along to the engineers for further info.
The engineers have responded:
We are now investigating this issue and we will keep you updated when we find any solutions.
Pulse
What kind of answer is this who does pioneer have as engineers?
I would think that if you were going to list your repository in a certain place you type it in and there it is. Like where do you want to save your file? Desktop, C drive etc...
If it doesn't work then just say that it is hosed and until we fix it you can't change it
PHIL
Android was a great system just last year (2013)... but everyone I know that's on it has had serious issues with constant sync-ing, updating (like contacts), and loads of other things like battery, CPU drainage...etc
There is def something weird going on with all their 4.0 and above versions over the last few months
the last real update for the RB APP was almost a year ago, clearly they are not trying to push this hard. There have been probably 50 phones that have been released for droid in the last year all with different configs, lockdowns, interfaces and so on..... Its impossible to keep up with an app like this on Droid unless you have a dedicated team of engineers specifically for this app, which again clearly Pioneer does not
the issue is not only with Android but with iOS as well. You don't see it because with iOS there isn't an option to point to a ultraSD Slot so you would never think to going to the feature.
I beg to differ with you regarding the function when it comes to battery because you have to plug the device in which will self power the unit so maDJam I am not sure what you are trying to say?
The feature is susposto work this way. You have a MicroSD card in which you plug into an adapter and plug that into your SD Slot or a USB on you Mac or PC where you can then sync your Playlists (or your entire library) what ever you choose. You then plug it into the micro SD slot on your phone (or USB directly to a CDJ and away you go.
Unfortunately this does not work at least the way I am trying to sync this and am asking for assistance from Pioneer.
It would seem to me, depending on your collection size, that this would be a tremendous Selling feature for Rekordbox on Android, since your limitation is the size pif your MicroSD on the unit itself.
BriChi is correct with his statement that the last update was a year ago when the iPhone came out where Mix probably fixed some bugs in the Android platform.
My second concern is the fact that Rekordbox makes a Duplicate copy of the song which to me is insane and I have no idea why this would happen especially when you have limited space as it is.
@Phil > The engineers have pointed out that due to a specification change in Android 4.4, SD card can no longer be used on rekordbox (Android). An update to support Android 4.4 is planned to be released in early July. In the meantime, they suggest you use other storage devices instead of an SD card.
Pulse I appreciate the feedback as this helps me make KEY decisions on upcoming Purchases and Investments into Pioneer DJ Gear! I would hate to think that a July 2014 release move to a August, September, October etc as did the DJM T1 Release for Mavericks!
Again thank them for their support and I will work on pushing the user base for Android with Rekordbok!
Phil...
Pulse I wanted to make sure you understand the situation. I don't have a problem with my SD card my issue is the "Micro" SD card in the Android phone or Android tablet.
It would seem to me that you could sync your Rekordbox library or Playlist when the Android phone or Android tablet is plugged into your mac/pc then simply plug the Android phone or Android tablet into the CDJ 2000 Nexus or the 900 Nexus usb let me know if you need more info
Same thing, just didn't say "micro;" they mean the card storage. ;)
Is this possible yet? My MacBook is down and I need to know if a tablet will do without a computer or wireless setup.
Yes You can use your android phone or your android tablet and DJ without a laptop. It works very nicely. In am upset that Pioneer and Rekordbox have not taken the tablet format seriously and have not developed a true Tablet App yet! I guess we will have to wait for cross>mixx to do it!
As far as I know there are no plans to develop a tablet version of the Android software due to the fragmentation of the operating system and variety of devices to build for.
