Does it mean that the new units arriving in store will be fixed? It looks like shop have not received any update regarding the matter.

Seguir** Pioneer DDJ-SZ Platter Update **
Just thought I would share with everyone what is happening with my DDJ-SZ, which suffers the much publicised 'platter issue', as other owners may or may not be aware what action Pioneer is taking, the last update on this forum from Pioneer didn't go into a great deal of detail.
My long time supplier has spoken with Pioneer and they have requested the unit back to their UK servicing department so they can perform a chip upgrade. It's being collected this Friday and I am told it will be back within a week.
Happy to report back further once the unit has come back to let everyone know if the issue is resolved.

I would say the shops need to be asking that question of their Pioneer rep. I appreciate Pioneer should be forthcoming with this information however sometimes if you want answers you have to go chasing them!

A link to the same jog wheel before is in the video.
Mine has gone off so will see what it's like when they send it back. Whilst my unit did suffer the platter issue it didn't seem to be that bad, not that i'm excusing the fact Pioneer have clearly dropped one with the testing of this platter.
Back to the CDJ2000 Nexus and DJM 2000 tonight! Not a bad backup just more to carry!
Hi all,
Just a word to say that my one is repaired: everything is alright now.
Thanks to Pioneer and all for all informations given since these two months.
Here is a video set with my SZ :-) http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1rcsz4_dj-trice-after-show-replay-13-04-2014_music

DJ Trice (from France)
As promised here is my update.
DDJ-SZ has just arrived back from Pioneer Service UK and I will second DJTRICE and say it's repaired and working fine.
Pioneer - I understand there will always be bugs but this is a pretty major oversight by your test team as the platter is a pretty major feature of any CDJ. I do appreciate the swift turnaround on the repair but feel free to send me a pair of headphones for my inconvenience :)
Hi guys,
I bought a b-grade SZ, tried it yesterday and did not notice any issue. As the warranty is only 6 months I am quite keen to thoroughly check whether the controller is infected with the bug or not. Is there a mean of testing it properly to make sure 100% I don't have to replace the chip?
Many thanks
Not sure where you have purchased your unit from to only get a 6month warranty however if you have a search through the posts on the forum regarding the latter issue you will see in them some people have posted videos of the fault. I would say watch them and then try your unit out if you have the fault you will soon notice.
And apologies I have just seen you bought a b-grade SZ which will explain the warranty. Make sure you test out as if it's one of the initial batch of DDJ-SZ the likelihood is it will have the fault
I'm a owner of a DDJ SZ & I have a few minor but noticeable scrathes on the surface of the jog wheel platter, any suggestions on how to get these scrathes out? Please email me dadancehall@hotmail.com
