Echo on DDJ-SX and DDJ-SZ

I have one DDJ-SX and DDJ-SZ.

DDJ-SX: When I activate echo effect on this unit - I can take the fader to zero and the echo tail will still be there. Same thing as for DJM´s. Just perfect.

DDJ-SZ: When I activate echo effect on this unit - the tail will disappear when take the fader to zero. This means I have to "pause" or "que" the player to get the tail on echo run smoothly.

I guess this should be a setting to adjust. I want the echo to work like it does on DDJ-SX. Anybody that can help?

Hi,

On the SZ, only on board effects are post-fader. Effects of the software (Serato, Traktor,...) are not.

As @Toonz says - there is a difference in the hardware which positions the effects at different return points. You can use the Sound Color Effects as post-fader effects.

That really sucks. - most people use the fx and echos to get out of a mix and it should work just like the sx - BIG MISTAKE that should be fixed
