[SOLVED] sync button

hey im wondering can i do sync on cdj 2000nxs for say i play a song at 115 and I want to play it at tempo of the second song that is 85  ?can i then set master on the second song while it isnt playing and sync the song that is playing and then put again master on the first song so that i can play seconds song so it syncs with the first song that was synced with the second song that wasnt playing?

This really doesn't make no sense and i can understand why it has had no replies.!!

But I think I know what you mean if your playing a track @ 115 bpm and your other tracks original bpm is 85 the track playing would be the ''Master'' deck and it isn't possible to get the master deck to drop BPM without turning the Sync feature off. You would have to Sync to 85 bpm track @ 115 bpm. to blend them.

But with such a huge gap in beats per minute this mix would more then likely sound like crap..

Maybe it doesnt make sense to you but why not? and Im not so sure if a for example move pb wheel and then later on sync it that it would sound bad on nexus or if I just press sync ?

Its worded very poorly and makes no sense for that reason

@Damjam > Did I already answer another thread with the same question from you? If so, then you know that the answer is no. You cannot sync to different BPMs. Its like saying you want one car to drive at 60mph and another car at 40mph but you want them at the same speed - it doesn't make sense.

Dont really use sync myself just an odd time. so if one track is 126 bpm and the other 128 bpm they wont sync using this feature?

@djsd > You'll have one channel playing live. Thats the master channel, lets assume its playing at 126BPM. Next, you want to mix in the second track that is 128BPM. If you turn on sync on both channels then the second channel will sync in at 126BPM.

This guy is missing the point here, get a dictionary and look up the word 'synchronise' and then ask yourself the same question ! , that's the problem with features like the 'sync' button ,some people see it as some kind of magic trick that means auto mix NO MATTER WHAT THE TEMPO'S  F F S !

@Mark > I think he wasn't fully understanding how the sync worked from a technical implementation aspect as opposed to not understanding what sync was in general.
