Emergency Loops Don't Work With SD Cards

I just remembered about the emergency loop feature so I figured I'd give it a try.

I put in an SD card, played a song, popped the SD card - it got really quiet for 2 bars and then just stopped playing - I believe it is supposed to loop over and over isn't that correct?

Anyone else try this? Or am I wrong about what emergency loop is supposed to do? I don't have any flash drives lying around to try it with at the moment

same with flash drives, I dont think it was intended to work like that though, It was more in case RB crashes or you lost the wireless connection to a player

Ohhh, so if I'm playing music off of RekordBox and the program crashes it will go into the emergency loop?

Was hoping it would work for links too... a couple times I've accidentally ejected an SD card from a player while the other player was playing from it lol completely my own fault but emergency loop would be a nice back up for that too

Yeah, if u pull the network cable from the laptop while linked and playing from rb it will loop. Would be nice if it worked with USB too in case you accidentally yank the USB stick

Or in case the USB gets stolen (I've seen that happen).

Apparently stolen USB drives was a big problem for pioneer at their stand at BPM this year, they were all gone within an hour!

I'd like it if all music sources had emergency loop if the source is suddenly interrupted (flash drive pulled, SD slot opened,etc).

Hello, on my Mk1 i never ejected a playing SD completely because every time i opened the wrong SD door the volume was suddenly cut, so i closed it again and the volume returned to normal level, this (i don't know if it's a function) saved me 3 or 4 times.

That is why I only use SD cards... they cant be seen and are harder to get out..even by accident......USB sticks are like a beacon flashing at people to pull them out and run...  Im pretty sure if you lift the lid on the sd card that is playing the volume drops like a warning not to take it out..  but no emergency loop....it stops dead once you eject the card...

@fullenglishpint > Yeah, unless we had the stuff nailed down to the stands they were taken. Some enterprising young fellow brought in a pair of scissors to snip the cable tie around a pair of headphones and took off with them.

@Orio > Yes, that is a feature.

I just watched this video and at about 16:55 he pulls the usb and it enters emergency loop, I have to try that, I thought it only worked on "linked" mode
