[CLOSED] CDJ 2k / Serato Scratch live: jog wheel sensitivity

Hi guys,

I have hooked my 2 CDJs (mk1) to SL2 in HID mode. I love Serato but I find the jog wheel extremely sensitive compared to the use I have with Rekordbox/USB/cds. When I had to turn the wheel a couple of cm for the song to catch up with the other, a few mm only are required with Serato... I find it very quick to make mistakes and get out of synch. Do you know how to turn this around?

Many thanks in advance

Nico

its preferences set in the serato program, Maybe something Serato can change around or give the user incremental changes they can set in preferences

Hi mate thanks, for that. Is it the Vinyl Scroll speed or something else?

not to sure, probably something with the ticks of resolution from the cdj to how far serato moves the decks per click

Oh you mean this is probably something we cannot change? That would be a disaster!

correct, we would definitely not be able to change the resolution between serato and 2000, it's a programming thing in serato

Wow, thks for your response. That's not the one I expected though :-/

I'm a bit surprised not many people experienced this issue or maybe that's just because people just go with rekordbox... Some venue still don't have the 2000s though and stuck to mk3 so if you mix around you have to be familiar with serato or traktor... I went for serato but I start to have some doubts!

Has anyone noticed vibration sensitivity (even in CDJ mode) on the 2000 platters?  Setting the drag to heavy and turning off vinyl seems to help, but it still seems flinchy when the subs hit hard.  Maybe dust in the sensors?

@pope > Heavy vibrational environments can cause this problem.
