Let me first say I love your products! The 2000 is a real monster and it safe to say Pioneer is the well deserved standard around the globe in clubs and at festivals! The Rekordbox software needs some fine tuning but the (Pioneer) USB era is slowly taking over!
But I do have one question... I've encountered this frustration many times. On the CDJ1000 (mk2/3) and last night on a 2000 nexus.
The break stop slowdown doesn't work. All settings are correct believe me! But when I hit stop there is no turntable slowdown but sudden silence as the player comes to an immediate full stop.
A lot of fellow dj's have encountered this problem for years now (on several machines) I myself fixed this problem by manually pitching the track to minus 99%
So, the question remains: is this a bug or are we doing something wrong?

you're definitely not doing anything wrong, this has been an issue for a while, For me I notice it always happens in heavy bass environments, the little vibration of the platter causes the deck to just stop and not slow down to a stop
This has only happened to me in slip mode.
This happens to me all the time!! It needs fixed before i look even more of an idiot !
Unfortunately, it does seem to be that this problem occurs particularly in environments of heavy bass vibration. We've escalated the problem to the engineers for some feedback.
The feedback I've received from the engineers does confirm that this issue may occur in environments of heavy bass vibration. If you are presented with issues during a set, you should adjust the jog tightness to a lighter setting or consider the use of anti-vibration rubber mats.
Really that's your answer? Why did this never happen on the cdj1000's?
@Barry > Its far from ideal, obviously but to affect the jog wheel any more would reduce the effectiveness of the jog when scratching. It was an issue that cropped up with the CDJ1000 on rare occasion also.
It happens ever since i can remember, also with the cdj1000, in loud environments. Workaround: Hold the platter on the outer ring so it cant vibrate that bad and press play. Works like a charm :)
Yes this happens to me seemingly at random too. I understand why heavy bass would be an issue. One place I play on a weekly basis though doesn't even have a subwoofer. I feel like it could be cause by other issues too. I've been meaning to post something about this, but I could never catch it happening in the act.
Ok thanks Gavin! Now we now what's on.. Some things to keep in mind but I myself prefer the manual bring the pitch to -99% method ;)
