[CLOSED] CDJ 900 not installing the updated 4.20 firmware

I have two CDJ 900s, both are currently version 3.10. I've extracted the 4.20 firmware to the root of a FAT32 USB and tried to installing on both but it just sits on 'Now updating' for hours. The 'auto beat loops' flashes once. I've tried multiple times and even tried with different USBs all FAT32 also re-downloading the firmware. They refuse to update for some reason, if i could please get some assistance that would be greatly appreciated.

@Fontaine > Are you sure you are on 3.10?

You'll need to download the file from pioneerdj.com/support

The file is a .zip - extract it until you get the files inside (they are .upd etc). Place these files on the root of a USB stick.

  1. Turn on the power of your CDJ Player while pressing both the "USB" and "RELOOP/EXIT"  buttons. Continue holding the both buttons until the Pioneer DJ logo screen disappears.

  2. The message [Connect USB storage device into top USB port] appears on the display

  3. Insert the USB memory device containing the firmware files into the USB port and the  update procedure will start. The display shows the blinking message “NOW UPDATING” and the “AUTO BEAT LOOP” LED blinks. Do not turn off the power during the update. The update will take approx. 2 minutes to complete.

  4. When the update is completed, the following message will be displayed: [Firmware update is completed. Turn the power off /on before using].

  5. Turn the power off and remove the USB memory device.

  6. Check the firmware version by following the steps as described in paragraph A.

  7. If the version has not been upgraded to the current version, then perform the system firmware update again.

  8. If the progress indicator does not progress during updating and update completed message does not appear after 5 minutes, or if the message [MAIN firmware update failed], [GUI firmware update failed], [PANEL firmware update failed] or [SERVO DRIVE firmware update failed] appears, contact our customer support center.

Sorry, the current firmware is 3.20*

And i have gone through step by step, it still says on the screen "NOW UPDATING" and does not change or continue. I have left it for hours and nothing happens, same screen.

@Fontaine > Are you sure you correctly unzipped the firmware to a freshly formatted USB stick and haven't modified the file name in any way? If you have downloaded the file or extracted the file more than once, it may have happen that a renamed duplicate has appeared. In any case, delete all the firmware you may currently have and download a fresh version from the Pioneer support site again http://pioneerdj.com/support
