Seguir[CLOSED] USB LAN STICKS (ETHERNET VIA A USB 2.0 STICK) - CDJ2000 NEXUS - RB - NO JOY !! WHY ?!
I have just changed my computer set up, and the new Ultrabook ive purchased doesmt have la, so i purchased one of these, it does the job. So I thought why not plug it in my MAC can see if I can get one CDJ in the MACS Lan port, the other via USB
It didnt work,
I then tried the same with Windows 7 computer and that had issues aswell.
Could you tell me Pionneer, as both of these are LAN CONNECTIONS, why I cant plug my Nexus into one of these and it will read it in RB ??
It woudl have been useful. Obvs the 2000 Nexus dropped a B*****k by not having Directly enabled WIFI like the Aero, this would have solved so many of the issues with Ipads, WIFI Routers and Lan issues connecting to RB
This was a work around idea ....

Is that alongside the Macs built in LAN or on a 2012+ Lan which doesnt have a Lan Socket Bri.
Im just trying to work out, if me plugging a Lan connection in is interfering with the Computer's Internal Lan set up.
Ideally 2 USB Lans would be perfect !
I have tested both, with my Macbook 2011'ish and macbook air with has no ethernet port.
according to this thread: http://forums.pioneerdj.com/entries/20404123-Rekordbox-with-Apple-USB-Ethernet-Adapter-Macbook-Air
a user also said it works on the Macbook air but ONLY with the Apple one like this

Thank you Bri, im gonna investigate this abit further - Many thanks for your help so far
Ive had another Frustrating day with RB, after 4 and a half years saying Im not going to use it - I am trying to find a sitable work around to incorperate it with a Laptop into my setup.
Ive recived a Gigabit Lan USB 3.0 Hub today and I thought I would test it in on my Win 8 64bit Ultrabook, I also tried it on an older Win 7 and MacBook Pro.
Had some interesting findings - Firstly the Lan and USB 3.0 Gigalan worked everytime and was a far better solution than the cheap USB Lan stickers, they in comparision are a waste of time.
The connection was solid when I tested ONE SINGLE CDJ 2000 NEXUS, I was able to connect to RB on all 3 of the computers ina "Ad Hoc" matter, was able to use RB no probs.
I then came to use USB hub/Gigalan - in one port and the naterive LAN pot on the Mac and Win 7 PC on the other ... It DIDNT WORK, only ONE CDJ would communicate with RB. The internal Lan seemed to take piority, when I unplugged it and restart RB, and just connected to the USB Lan. that worked again
Though testing - RB only reconises ONE LAN SOURCE AT ONE TIME on the CDJ 2000 Nexus - For me this is another major headache, I think its more a fault of RB than the Nexus, it its shocking it didnt regiater on the ProLink.
Ive looked at other Dual Lan USB connectors - and feel id have the same issues.
Its just poo Pioneer, im not a tech expeert or Computer Wizzard, but common sence would have told me, if a computer had 2 lan access ports - they should be able to communicate with each other and RB should be able to take full advanage. Its really POOR DESIGN that they cant see the signal.
Very disapointing again Pionner, and really is another reason why I have to say I HATE your RB sorftware with a passion. I thought id give it one more try, I really do not want to use a USB Hub, WIFI (THE REASON I BROUGHT THE NEXUS IN THE 1ST PLACE!!!!) - would have been the easiest way around it - but 16 months after release .............. Lets be honest, The nexus is never going to opererate like the Aero is it (then I could use the Android or Ipad to control the music on the HD)
Ill have to say, im prety much had it up to my teeth in the the way RB interacts with the CDJ, weather on Ipad or Computer or Mac, therte has been so much LACK OF VISION ... and real stubborn will to try and move things forward ... its by breath taking what lack of forsight there has been.
I just which I had a product that would work around me, im looking forward to Serarto DJ finally getting 1.6 Release in a few weeks - To be honest, if it is right - ill not EVER need to think about RB ever again
Properly the most annoying and inflexable DJ Software thats ever been released !!!
The issues are not with the players or rekordbox, but your network. If you want to take a breather I'd be more than happy to help you sort the issue. You've got my email address, hit me directly and we'll get it sorted.
Hi Pulse long time no see
Ive got Gavin's email but im not sure if I had yours to be honest, could you send me a blank Email to my live.co.uk addres if you have it or please DM me your email so I can email you some info
Thank you for your speedy responce on this.
Any News on this Pulse ... Or Shall I email Gavin ?!
Personally - I think its somthing to do with the CDJ, 4 different computers, 4 difference systems ......... The same result. 2 LAN sources plugged into a Computer at and one point trying to commicate with the ProLink via an Computer to Computer style "Ad Hoc" connection CONFUESES Rekordbox - And at best when both are connected, it will only link to the CDJ pulled into the computers internal LAN Port !!
