cdj 2000 nexus vs platinum

Hello thinking of purchasing the cdj 2000 nexus since the latest firmware seems to fix major issues. I am Fortunate to get a great deal on both the regular cdj nexus and the platinum cdjs. From the two sets the price difference for me is around 500$. Besides the limited edition and the look of the platinums is paying extra 500 worth the digital plugs that each one comes with? I know pioneer discontinued them so leaning towards no difference as far as sound quality vs regular rca. Please help thanks for your time. Also does the djm 900 nexus platinum come with any extras?

AFAIK there is no technical difference between platinum and normal edition, just the looks and the prices differ.

Wondering if the digital cables that the platinum cdjs come with are different as far as the quality of sound you get compared to the standard rca cables.  Anyone ever compared rca to digital plugs? Could you really tell the difference?

Firstly i had plugged cdjs to djm900 at analog RCA's but this week i connected with the same cables to digital outs/in. There is a difference in quality etc. I will buy some good gold plated digital cables in the future for sure;)

With dirty cables analog signals can "crunch" or cut out

With digital cables the signal is either there or it's not...

compare it to the old satellite TV- if the weather gets bad the signal is still there, but fades away... now with digital satellites the image breaks or freezes...

point is- once u use the digital signal (using any cables, the ones that come with the CDJs, gold plated or even the $1 from the local Chinese store) from digital out to digital in... sound quality is the same. Analog might be different if the cables r crap- so yeah doesn't matter what quality cables you use with the digital in/out as long as they work, you'll get the same quality

been experimenting with this since the CDJ100s back in 1998 and any cable always worked- if it doesn't replace it. Don't go wasting $30-60 on "gold plated" as they are just as marketing scam as 98 Octane petrol vs. 92- your car wont' have any difference (friends in the oil business in Saudi will confirm that) :D
