2000 Nexus Loop Mode Button and Extending Loops

Just a couple of quick questions if I may

  1. Can someone tell me what the loop mode button on the 2000 nexus actually is there for/does?

  2. I see once you create a loop you can extend or shorten it using the needle strip however is this only a RB feature? I can't seem to get the options up on the needle to extend/shorten when using through Serato?

1 the loop mode button brings up loop options to auto loop. If u use serato though I'm not sure what it does, may not do anything

2 you extend loops using the loop mode button to bring up the options, again, if u use serato it may do nothing

If that didn't answer your questions them I'm sorry, maybe I'm missing what you're asking. Using the nexus for serato control is kinda a waste, 99% of the added features over the original 2000s are all based on rb users.

Thanks that does answer my question.

Whilst RB maybe increasing in popularity a lot of DJs still primarily use Serato, including me. I guess Serato need to step up and make these features work! I would switch to RB however I play off of an DDJ-SZ for some gigs and RB doesn't work with that.

No worries!

The SZ is very good and even has some nice features over my 2000 Nexus and DJM 2000. Pioneer really should have made it compatible with both but hey ho!

Pioneer should stop running around like headless chickens and focus on getting just ONE system to work properly.

Serato has never worked well with Pioneer gear in my experience, it has more bugs than the amazon rain forrest!
