It does show compatible keys -- or it should, it did last time I checked.
By playing for a while paying attention to the keys, I realized that the CDJ nexus will put the green light only on the tracks that are in key with the one that is currently playing on the master CDJ. This is helpful obviously and I don't complain :)
What is missing is that you do not have suggestions for which tracks are one key up or one key down from the one you are playing. If you want to progress and move to other keys you really need first to read the key that is on the display of the master track playing, then on the other cdj you would have to push the info button to see the key of the other tracks. Next step is identifying which keys are one higher or one lower than the current one on the circle of fifths and then look for them.
First of all the standard musical notation for the key is not easy to remember, it can be learned, no big deal, but the open key notation is much easier to remember, you just need to know that you have to go 1 number up or one number down. With the musical notation, in may case I have to keep a circle of fifth handy to have a quick look, or invest some time and learn it by heart.
My suggestion would be to use three colors in the traffic light system: keep the green for the tracks that are in key, and add two other colors for the tracks that are one key up or one key down. Keep it easy and simple :)

it does show compatible keys julia, i just double checked. i use MIK and if i have a track in 3a loaded into the deck then the traffic light system lights up all tracks that are 3a, 4a and 2a as expected.
maybe there's an issue with the deck reading the open key notation?
I will check again that, but still the feature request to have three different colors for same key, one key up and one key down stays :) Even if all the compatible keys and not only the same key are shown in green it is still a nuisance to find which of them to pick to go up or go down.
WIth open notation I have not tried on the CDJs, I use open notation in traktor but then rekordbuddy converts it to musical notation when I transfer the data to rekordbox.
I confirm, the CDJ also shows one key up and one down. My request of having different colors is still valid obviously.
Ordering by key is also useless, it orders alphabetically and not musically so it has almost no practical use. Here another request: add the possibility to sort by key musically.
If you were to sort keys harmonically instead of in normal order, it would make a dog's breakfast of the order and make it slower to find keys. The colour-coding of matching keys works to locate those in the alpha-list.
And yes, it only shows one up/down, as if it were to show all potential harmonics (using additional rules), you wind up with MANY more "compatible" tracks. I don't think that's a good thing for casual harmonic users.
I wouldn't want to see all compatible keys, I'm happy with same key and one up/down. Just mark them in three different colors in the menu. This will help immensely when looking for a key progression.
I still believe that the option to sort by key musically is a good thing. I mean that it should be possible for the users to select the type of key sorting and use the one they prefer, alphabetical or musical.
Another good option would be to have the CDJs work with Open Notation as well (again, let the user free to decide which notation, musical or open notation). That would make the life easier and remove the need for complex sorting.
i'd prefer to keep the traffic light system as it is. i'd hate to have additional colours messing up the display.
if this is being considered then please make it only as an option.
Besides using the key from RB I also at the Numeric Key. Much easier to search.
Agree with OP.
Traffic light system with a YELLOW light would be much more useful; also it would make more semiotic sense (green alone means nothing, pair it with yellow and meaning is immediately clear).
