12) Provide as much detail of the issue here:

I have 2 CDJ-2000 Nexuses connected to my iMac.  The CDJs are wired to the router (BT Home Hub 5) and the iMac is connected Wirelessly.  It has always previously worked, but since installing Rekordbox 3 it no longer works.  I just upgraded to the latest CDJ-2000NXS firmware and no improvement.  I also tried going back to the previous version of Rekordbox 2.2.4 and it no longer works.

Whenever I try to play any track from my library it initially displays the waveform, but then the selection knob starts flashing, the waveform disappears and it says "NOW LOADING..." before eventually saying "E-8302: CANNOT PLAY TRACK(C7D9)"

I have unplugged and reconnected the wires, rebooted my Mac, reconfigured my wifi on the Mac, rebooted the router, swapped connection sockets, etc. and nothing works!  Really really angry right now, and wasted about 2 hours of my evening.

@Chris > Have you tried connecting the iMac by ethernet to the router and disabling your wifi completely?

Hi Pulse, thanks for the quick reply.  Ok, just completely reorganised all my cables and connected the iMac to my router with an RJ45.

Most of the tracks now seem to work, but anything imported from iTunes is still failing... not sure why.

Is this something that's being actively investigated by Pioneer engineers then - something to do with Mac OS 10.9.4 killing the wifi Rekordbox connectivity?

Thanks again.

Actually, the iTunes tracks may never have worked through Rekordbox due to DRM issues - I think I burned CDs for those tracks from iTunes itself.  Still sometimes getting random error messages when loading tracks, but it does seem to mostly be working now.

Yeah, the DRM'd tracks certainly won't work (there's a work-around which allows you to right-click and "Create MP3 version", or AAC depending on what your encoding settings are), but other non-DRM tracks should load.

As for the WiFi issue, it _should _be able to load them if that's the only network you have connected, but I have seen some routers which don't properly bridge traffic between the wireless and wired portions of the network - on those even things like iTunes sharing to an Apple TV is trouble.

As far as possible solutions go, I'm going to see if the engineers have any suggestions, so sit tight!

Thanks Pulse.  Just to confirm, I've had no problems with my router and the CDJs and my iMac in the past - my BT HomeHub 5 has been very reliable.

It's either the MacOS X 10.9.4 that's triggered the WiFi problems, or it's the Rekordbox 3 upgrade.

Tonight I've had a long mix session with the wired setup, and I'm still getting E-8309s (E-8302s? Can't quite remember), delayed track loads, and EMERGENCY LOOPS due to loading issues... and these are with non-DRM MP3s that I've bought or received as promos, via wires not WiFi.

Any help/updates from the Engineers would be appreciated.  Sitting tight!

Thanks,

Chris

Interesting I had this issue last weekend when I used Rekordbox 3 via Ethernet to a router at a venue. Full Nexus setup and had the same error with loads of track in my library..

Absolutely no progress on this.  Still very angry about it.  I think I need to phone up Pioneer Tech Support and log an official ticket, because this is absolutely shocking.

What you've got here is an official ticket - I have a direct line to the engineers through our system here.

Are you still running a system with the same specs as noted above or have you updated the OS / firmware? I presume you've also updated rekordox to 3.2?

Ok, thanks Pulse. The problem still affected me a month ago with 3.1 of RekordBox. Just downloaded 3.2 and will try again shortly.

(When I last tried I could only load about 10% of my tracks - really ruined my mix.)

External - not a NAS, though, a directly connected disk.

Thanks - I assume USB?

Can you also please test the connection issues with a single player connected directly via ethernet to the iMac?

Also, is the firewall disabled?

Ok, just tried it out again with RekordBox 3.2 and everything seems to be fine now!  Thanks for the prompt to check.

I haven't read the 3.2 release notes, but was this something consciously rectified in this release?

FYI, the external disk connection is via Thunderbolt (not USB), and firewalls are disabled.  The iMac is connected to the router via Wi-fi.

Thanks,

Chris
