I'm trying out the rekordbox dj trial, and first off I actually think the software itself is great. We probably wouldnt use it for playing out as using CDJs is much easier and requires no set up on our part, but for home/studio/travel use when planning/practicing sets it's going to be really useful.
However on my MBP 2011 there is an ungodly amount of lag when mixing. Takes a second, sometimes more, for a pressed button or turned knob to respond. I read someone else having issues with their mac getting too hot, due to rekordbox using the integrated graphics, and it's possible that's the reason for this problem too.
Maybe someone has a tip, or if not hopefully we'll see an update soon that helps - I'd definitely purchase at the end of my trial if it was a bit more usable.

Hey DISKORD, we've had a few users who are running rekordbox on Macs with integrated graphics reporting issues of high temps / CPU use. The engineers have been notified and hopefully we'll have a solution for you guys soon. For starters you can try changing the waveform drawing down from high to low, but some users said the CPU use is still high.
Yeah, I've done everything to minimize what rekordbox is doing graphically - turned down the wave drawing, and using the vertical instead of horizontal so that there's less of it, things like that. But it's still really unresponsive.

Same thing with my mid 2010 MBP i5 2.4 ghz and upgraded to 8 gb ram. High temps/and cpu use. Software is not stable enough. I had it crash on me using color FX on the ddj sx and also the audio totally dropped out. Love the new software and features it has to offer but, it needs a lot of work still. And 8% Pitch range would be nice that's my minor gripe.
