I have the same problem too! Neither external devices such as USB and Hard disks! Neither my partition can see! and all my music is on another partition o hard drive and i can't see it! please fix! major problem!
I use a macbook and have two usb devices both formatted as MS-DOS FAT, I am fairly certain this is compatible with Rekordbox. I have tried to reformat to exFAT to no avail. I'm using the latest rekordbox software which I downloaded yesterday upgrading from rekordbox 3 which recognised my usbs. Thanks

make sure your not in the trial performance mode, it does not work with externals, only "export" mode
yes I am in trial mode yet! You mean that the activated version activates external devices and all?? that's perfect...!
no, as of now (unless they change it), in performance mode you cannot see externals, i don't understand why but thats how it is right now
I hope they will fix it soon! Big trouble!
well, its only "big" trouble if you're using the DJ plugin, in normal export mode like version 1-3 it works exactly the same.
There is no need to "see" the external devices in performance mode. Any audio stored on your external drive which is added to your collection is accessed via the collection. Audio on an external device (export) is unavailable for use during performance mode as it is either part of an export library or is un-analysed.
@giannis > There seems to be two confusing issues here, in future, please don't piggy-back on someone else's request for assistance.
@Sam > exFAT is not compatible, only FAT32 or HFS+ devices should be used. Where are you trying to access them (performance mode or export mode)?
