Yes, any memory or hot cue point created while playing is automatically stored with that track for future use.
Is it possible to save new created cue points on the fly with the RZ without touching Rekordbox?

So how can I do that?
On the CDJ 2000 i just press "loop in" and then memory.
If you create hot cues, just press the hot cue pad and it's memorized. I haven't had hands-on time with the DDJ-RZ yet in terms of storing and recalling memory points, and I don't see dedicated controls on the hardware for it, so I'm not entirely sure.
Okay you mean hot cues. I mean normal cue points. Because when I switch from DDJ to CDJ and I have just Hot Cues and no Memory cues I can't play. Is it understandable what I mean :)?
You could play them, I just don't see a hardware control to call / launch them. You may have to do that through a keyboard shortcut. Again, I haven't had hands-on time with the RZ and this is just from looking at the photos and manual.
bump Is this solved yet? I have serious irritations over not being able to toggle my cue points.
I've created shortcuts for saving the Cue points for each deck.
You have hardware buttons for call the Points and the shortcuts for saving .... not the easiest way but it works ;-)
No, you can't store or call cue points, but as the hardware has access to 8 hot cues now, it's going to be the preferred method. You could convert or copy your memory points to hot cues so they're accessible on both a CDJ and controller.
@Pulse you can Call the Memory points with the RZ, when you are in the Hot Cue Pad Mode just press the Parameter 1/2 Buttons at the bottom on the right.
Sorry, yes - that is correct - but you can't store new ones.
Maybe it will be an idea for saving the current cue point when you press Shift + both arrows.
Think about that for a future update ;-)
Like I said, with 8 hot cues, I think most people will be using those instead.
but what is with people that switch between a DDJ and CDJ setup, its pointless to copy every Hot Cue as a Memory point, because:
1. the feature that shows you how many bars / beats are to the next Memory point doesn't work with hot cues ;-)
2. you may need 9 points for the brakes in the song and you use already three Hot Cues for the CDJ....
I'm now okay with my shortcut (Shift + Deck No) for saving the current Memory point. but the Idea with the Shift + both arrows on the DDJ should be a possible solution for a further update.
Im with you DVJ Mito: I come from CDJ too and i used mem points to see how many bars to breaks or to drops so i can do fast mixing. I got RZ today i was trying to find that mem point button but sadly there is not. Hope pioneer will do update like you say...
I have a DDJ-RX and I'd love to be able to memory cue points (not hot cues) from my DDJ-RX. As @DVJ Mito says it would be very useful a combination as Shift+some button to save memory cue points. I Hope Pioneer takes this into account..
I have also a DDJ-RZ and it would be great to ...:
1. easily switch from "Hot Cue Mode"/"Pad Mode 1" to the other modes (e.g. "Memory Cue") through the controller instead through the software when you click the mini arrow, which is only shown if you hover with the mouse over the number of the deck.
2. easily save the Memory Cues through the controller like on the standalone decks (e.g. CDJ-2000), because it's easier to switch mentally from one device to another. Having different configurations in your mind, it is not easy to remember what function is called in which way on each device. The best way is to have all the same. And for extra functions on the controllers which are not on the standalone devices, you have only to remember them. ;-) Because in a - let's say normal and good - club, you will mostly find CDJs (especially the 2000s) and very seldom DDJs. :-D
So, it is contra-productive, if same functions on different devices have different ways to call them. ;-)
Hoping this is solved or Implemented soon.
