I asked our engineers how to solve your issue and now waiting for a reply.
Have you tried selecting SSHD as [Database management] in [Preference] > [Advanced] > [Database]?

SeguirRekordbox unable to read master database - iTunes Library on separate disk
Hi all,
I’ve been searching online on forums but couldn’t find an answer to my issue.
I’m using a Macbook Pro, in which I have an SSD drive that’s running the OS plus the Applications. I also have an SSHD (took out the optical drive) on which I keep my iTunes library and personal files.
When I try to open Rekordbox, it tells me that it can’t find the master database. I’ve completely deleted the application (including the application support and library files), reinstalled it, and it still says the same thing. The master database is shown to be the one on the SSHD, however I feel like the software has some issues with it being installed on a different drive?
Please let me know if you have any solutions for this, I’d really appreciate the help.

I have indeed, tried every single thing I've found online but still nothing. Cheers
Engineer needs the following information.
1. Which drive contains your Library folder? SSD or SSHD?
2. Would you send me [rekordbox3.settings] file in [Library] > [Application Support] > [Pioneer] > [rekordbox]?
Send the file by making an inquiry at https://rekordbox.com/en/support/inquiry.php or using dropbox or other service.
@Adam > I know other users who have replaced their optical drive with a secondary hard drive are experiencing issues. @Aso has directed you to create a ticket. Please post a reply with the ticket number when you've created it and I'll look for it on the back-end and try to link it with the other tickets already created so the answers go to both places.
Hey guys! Thanks for the reply, apologies for the late reply.
@Aso: I've recently moved the home directory (i.e. music, docs, personal settings etc) to the SSHD. It's a bit weird situation now, I might have found the reason - so all the settings file are on the SSHD Library folder, however that folder is not visible to me. I've done the Terminal command to show me all the hidden folders and files, but now the actual library folder is 'faded' on the SSHD, and I can't open it. I'm gonna screenshot this and put the .settings file (it's weird that I can still access it if I search for it through Finder) as well into DB and link it to you guys. Appreciate the help!
Just did the inquiry, number is 3280. Cheers guys.
Has this been solved?
I'm experiencing the same exact problem, I believe.
Cheers!
Hi, I think I have the same problem here and I'm not sure whether a solution has been found or not (how should I use that inquiry number 3280??).
I basically have two drives inside my Macbook, the big old HHD with all my data files (and even the OSX still bootable if I need, which unfortunately I often do for the reasons below) and a new small SSD with the new OSX and all applications. On my old HHD and OSX I used to manage my music in iTunes and sync my playlists in Rekordbox. I now want to carry on doing the same from my new OSX on my new SSD, which means having Rekordbox to point to the right files/library/database in HHD. I'm clearly missing something here because I've tried all sort of things and nothing really works properly, only partial and therefore useless results (ie. Rekordbox seeing the file structure but not seeing the files, then eventually after various tricks like faking user folders using simlink the files appear but are treated as new so they dont have my hot cues and therefore analysed for the first time).
I also find there's little documentation online about this. this is doing my head in and would really appreciate some clear advice.
Many thanks!!
