Permanantly remove rekordbox/change analysis file location on mac OSX

Im running rekordbox 4 on a mac i transfered over to from a PC, and i dont have any of the files left on the old PC. and im TRYING to use rekordbox, but since i cant change the analysis file file location, i cant do anything. How do i change the analysis file, file location, or at the very least remove EVERYTHING from rekordbox, so I can have a fresh install. ive uninstalled it many times and it still sets the analysis location to THE SAME ONE. This is driving me insane.

What you can do is go to the settings file and manually edit the values to remove that location.

1) Close rekordbox, open Finder and select Go > Go to folder... and enter:

--

~/Library/Application Support/Pioneer/rekordbox/

2) Open the rekordbox3.settings file and find this line:

--

<VALUE name="pioneerDirectory"

3) Change the value from whatever it is now to:

--

/Users/<yourusername>/Library/Pioneer/rekordbox

This should reset it to the default location.

On a side note, editing the Pioneer directory value could also provide us with the possibility to re-locate the folder to iCloud. Automatic backups and accessibility just with an iCloud login away would be awesome.
I have tried to edit the value with the correct path but rekordbox always uses the default location. Is there something I'm missing?

It seems like there could be a problem with how the value should be entered in rekordbox3.settings
For example, spaces in file names are not escaped with "\" so there could be a problem entering a path that has multiple escaped characters like the iCloud path.

@Henrik > I think it's also possibly a problem with how the text editor auto-replaces the quotation marks and ends up using incorrect symbol. You may also need to edit any other location tags.

I played around with the "masterDbDirectory" value, just to change the location of the database and not the main Pioneer directory. However, I couldn't get the markup right, tried several different ways with escapes and not escaped characters.

Any chance for feedback from the engineers regarding this? It would be so nice to have an automatic backup in iCloud.
