My cdjs used to work fine kniw they wont link. I've tried a new link cable and still nothing. Is there anyway to get this fixed also how do I know which player is broken if there not linking at all?

Try linking both players to a hub and the hub should have a light on it that blinks when the connections is good. once you figure out which one is not working You should be able to get it repaired. are you always taking the plug in and out a lot? Or did it just stop working on its own?

Thanks Pete ill try to hook them up to a hub. Ohh and yes I take the link cable in and out quite a bit. Bc I use them in various locations.

@Jeno > Do you still have issues? Tell us more about your setup... How do you have everything connected?

@Gavin Still having issues I just have the 2 CDjs linked via a LAN cable they light up as player 1 and player 2 but after about ten seconds the area that says player 1/2 turns off and they won't link. I live on Long Island in New York are there any certified pioneer people/places that can fix cdj's? I believe on of these for sure has a broken link cable port.

Besides the CDjs being linked I go digital into my mixer from the cdj's

Its pretty common for the link ports to crap out. Can we get any confirmation that these have been redesigned on the nexus?

I have the same problem with one of my CDJ 2000s and last week sent it to a local pioneer dealer who says this is a common problem and will cost me about 250 euros for a new link print board so that sucks :(

And just about 1 year ago I had the rear usb port fixed aswell but at that point I still had the warranty.

Why are these ports so fragile??

DO you guys unplug a lot? Just curious what these ports are put through and if anyone never unplugs them (Bedroom DJ for example)

I guess my point being is do those who never unplug or rarely have the same issues or is this more of an issue with DJ's who unplug a lot.

I have been unplugging more than a few time, but nothing I would consider to be "exacturated use", just brought them a long for some of the events I'm been playing at or smaller venues without proper equipment. They should be able to handle this kind of usage.

I agree, that's what they are designed for IMO. (All DJ's, Bedroom, Club, Mobile etc...). I guess I unplug my eithernet from my computer laptop a lot and never had issue....

I agree, the ethernet ports are very flimsy on the 2000's, there are some cables that wont even work properly in them, I had posted a video years ago complaining about this, I should run the same tests on the Nexus decks one day

@Jeno > Are the CDJs connected directly to each other or via a router?

If you think the problem is player related I would urge you contact Pioneer via the technical support contact details in the column on the right >>
