[Solved] How to change the "PIONEER" folder in rekordbox?

Hi.

I had a windows 7 on my drive C, and my pioneer folder was set to drive D. Now i formatted my drive C, installed windows 10, updated rekordbox to 4.0 and in the settings, i couldn't change the PIONEER folder, there is no change or browse option.

If you don't have a valid source, it won't be available to change.

What are your other drives and how are they connected / formatted?

I only have one, my internal winchester. I have 3 drive letters. C is the windows drive, D with some other stuff, and E with my music and the pioneer folder that my rekordbox, on my previous windows created. So all of them are ntfs. It worked fine before.

rekordbox doesn't like NTFS, and doesn't play well with partitions (which, I have to ask - why on earth have you partitioned your drive?! The 1990's called and they want their drive partitioning back!), consider using a different drive or reformatting to FAT32.

So my computers pioneer folder is what I'm talking about. And i want rekordbox to restore my database because I don't have a backup. I could copy my pioneer folder to the c's, then probably it would work on my rekordbox, but i want to keep my rekordbox database on drive d, because when i mext reinstall the system i dont need to copy anything

I didn't say it wouldn't work, I just said it doesn't like NTFS source drive is fine, export drive is no-go) and partitions are a problem from time to time, mainly due to device mapping.

You could always try the manual method of moving the files and editing the preference file to point to the correct location.

I finally find it:
c:\Users\FabioeM\AppData\Roaming\Pioneer\rekordbox\rekordbox3.settings
I can see the new path in the settings, but i still can't see the newer tracks, playlists (i had only a very old backup of my tracks and restored them yesterday)

I have the same problem..

I edited all my mp3 & wav files (1072 files) in Rekordbox 4.2.1 on my win7 PC.

and now want to use Rekordbox dj 4.2.1 on my Laptop win10.

The path of the mp3 files has changed off course.. But how to change the path to the new location, without losing all the settings? I have not found it?

When i try to create a new path by right click on file and move, when i direct it to the new file, (new location) is says: this file already exist in your collection??

On the info tab i see the path, but can not change it there either??

What i would like is: search for missing files "in this folder", and create new path!

With the change i also migrated the dutch language version, where is it possible to change the language back to English? Because now we can't use the same terminology..

Coming from Serato this is more work than i had hoped for... :-(
