Hi, i try to connect 4 different hard drives to the usb port of the Pioneer XDJ RX and nothing, another failure occurred when I tried to connect the XDJ to my laptop via usb, no recognized, i'm frustrated, this machine is good for something?

I've had poor luck with USB-powered 2.5" portable hard drives. A portable hard drive with an external power source works fine for me, but that's only if I need an extended library of tracks. Usually I use a 64g or 128g USB3.0 thumbdrive.
My Numark IDJ recognized all hard discs, it's a shame that Pioneer don't, XDJ costs five times more, thank you anyway.
Maybe we are talking about two separate issues. Ability to bus power a device is different from being able to read the drive format.
The power issue can be solved by using a USB power "Y" cable, which usually comes with the drive. One of the Y ports connects to a power source. There is a thread that discusses this deeper.
The formatting issue is well covered in another thread.
I suggest you work your way through the treads for the latest info...

I've tried at least (let me see...5) 5 different USB drives, and XDJ was perfectly OK with all of them.
Just out of curiosity - did you FORMAT (2x) USB drive? Preferably with HP Format Tool...

i tried with 4 different HD but obviously not at the same time (USB multi hub), all the HDs are USB 3, none has external power, i trie with 128g USB3.0 thumbdrive.
@Ernesto > It's possible that they're drawing too much power (especially at spin-up) and as @pope suggests, you may try using a Y cable to provide additional power to the drive.
It has nothing to do with the price of the unit, but rather the fact the USB hard drive is possibly operating outside of the spec range for power provided to a USB port.

think about ernesto! normal hard drives dont work a long time in vibrated athmospheres (clubs) - is the same like you knock them every second... for me works fine some 250gb samsung ext. ssd ... and some small sandisk usb stick (64,128GB) this kind of memory dont spinnig like a hard drive :-)
