Considering you're the first I've ever heard mention needing to replace the audio interface, no, I wouldn't say it's a normal thing.
Bought my DDJSZ controller in 2014, summer of 2015 noticed a static hesitation after about 15 minutes of mixing when its "warmed up". Took it to a pioneer technician as instructed by pioneer support, saying that the sound card needed to be replaced. I thought it was interesting that I would need to replace the sound card after 1 yr of light use. After diagnosis the tech said that the main board needed to be replaced in which he quoted me at $400! I buy all pioneer products because of their reputation and quality. Which included the HDJ 1000, HDJ1500. DDJSX & DDJSZ. Why would this happen to the ddjsz? or is this normal?
