that happened to me as well, but not regularly, sometimes the metronome worked when changing track, sometimes not. What I have regularly is that the metronome is deactivated every time I lock the tracks. I reported this in another thread here https://forums.pioneerdj.com/hc/communities/public/questions/204350886-rb-4-0-2-metronome-tick-bug and reverted back to 4.0.1 I am checking and cleaning my library so at the moment I'm using the metronome quite heavily and these bugs would waste me a lot of time.
Thanx Julia O for youre quick reply. In fact i think youre right,i've noticed that after locking the bpm grid the metronome stoped working ;).How can i revert back to 4.0.1???
If you have kept the installer for 4.0.1 you can run it again and it will overwrite 4.0.2, at least this is the way I did (I have Mac OS X 10.10).
A good rule when dealing with pioneer's software is to keep a backup of all the older versions, because they make available for download only the last version...lesson learned with rekordbox 2 ;)
The problem is that i upgraded my rekordbox and i dont find an download link for af the 4.0.1 version. If i not asking to much can u upload the 4.0.1 version on zipishare and thant post the link of the download or on dropbox??? :D
You can find it here on zippyshare: <SNIP> That file is property of Pioneer and is not for 3rd-party distribution. </SNIP>
It would seem the muting of the metronome when the track is locked is a function rather than a bug, but as the metronome button can still be cycled, it seems like a bug. Can I ask why you would need the metronome if you've locked the track?
Well, I am analyzing a bunch of tracks, the metronome is ticking, I check one track, I lock it and then load the next track, or i lock a few tracks that I locked and I go to the next one and I need the metronome always active.
There are many reasons to lock immediately the track that I checked, first of all I am sure that avoid mistakes, then I use the lock as a sort of visual placeholder in the list, I can see very easily and quickly where I am in the list because the tracks that I've done already are locked.
It's really a bug. It was working properly in 4.0.1, the behaviour in 4.0.2 makes no sense at all.
So if there's no metronome, can't you take that as a cue that the track you currently have loaded is already locked (you've analysed & verified it) and you can then move on to the next one?
@Julia > Seems you deleted your comment -- I'm not fighting against you, just trying to understand how you're using it and getting more insight as to why so I can inform the engineers to make changes accordingly.
I'm not saying she's wrong.
Metronome bug is fixed in 4.0.3, thanks Keiko.
