ddj sx not recognized by rekordbox

trying to use my SX with rekordbox but it isnt doing anything tried in midi mode and serato mode and nothing

Just to make sure:

Are you trying in performance mode? (I don't think export mode - free version - works with any controller)

Are the drivers and fw the latest? 

Did you try other USB cable?

OS used?

There's no such thing as too much info when trying to troubleshoot an issue :)

yeah I tried (trial but performance mode nonetheless)

yes and yes 

the cable works fine with serato

windows 10
