Hi Community,
i testing Rekordbox DVS at this Time with my NI Z2 Mixer and it works really really good, but what i cant find is a Option like in Traktor to use the Software just with 1 Turntable and press a key or so to switch over the Control from Deck1 to Deck2, is there anything like this?
Thanks in Advance

Is this possible now with rekordbox 5? I'm looking to switch from Traktor but this is one feature I cannot live without.
Currently have a 4 channel setup using 2 turntables, with each turntable routed to 2 output channels. So when 1 channel is in relative mode the other channel assigned to that turntable swtiches automatically to internal mode, thus the turntable only controls one channel at a time.
If that's not possible right now is it something that's likely to be developed in the future?
I have a DJM 750 which I love and have been eyeing up using rekordbox with a DDJ XP1, but if I can't do this I'm gonna be stuck using Traktor for the forseeable future.
@RR > Easy...
Have a track loaded on deck 1, control with DVS, instant-double it over to deck 3 (internal mode), load a new track on deck 1. Presto. Two virtual decks, one physical interface.
Hey Pulse thanks for the reply
That's a good workaround and I'd like to try it out, but it brings up unnecessary issues with mixer levels and also the ease of flicking back and forth between 2 tunes on one turntable. With Traktor you can set up a macro on your controller so that all it takes is one button press to move turntable control where you want it with each tune on a dedicated channel.
Big shame that Rekordbox can't do this at the moment, I really wanna make the switch!! I'm sure it'll come eventually.
Correct - with Traktor their MIDI mapping is such that you can set it to "target deck" and then use one control to switch the target. Unfortunately this isn't available within rekordbox (and I don't know if that is an option on the horizon), but if you try it out, I'm sure you'll find it's actually quite intuitive and easy to do.
