Rekordbox USB Device Category and Sort Tabs Blank?

For a few months I've been using Rekordbox and exporting my tracks to a USB device to play on my XDJs. I bought two USBs at the same time(256 GBs) and one of them seems to have a strange issue.

On the working copy, I can see options listed in both the "Category" and "Sort" tabs, so that I can choose what to filter by on the XDJ. On the other USB, these are blank (no options on either side of both the Category and Sort tabs) so that when I load my USB, I can only select via the default CONTENTS folder (into artist, etc).

I've erased and reformatted the USB a few times to see if this is the issue, but it still won't work.

I am able to have tracks that are analyzed by rekordbox exported to this USB device, but it does not have the sort and categories (for easier browsing). I believe I can still load the other options (like vinyl mode, pitch fader range, etc) so these settings seem to be working (and are also viewable in the rekordbox program under the My Settings tab). It just appears to be isolated to these two sort and category options.

Is the usb shot in terms of using it for rekordbox? What should I try to remedy this?
