@Geoff > What is the make / model / capacity of those USB drives and how did you format them (what formatting utility did you use and what is the file system you set it to)?
This has been bugging me for months please help. I have the latest firmware on my CDJ2000 Nexus and Rekordbox (as of 25.08.15) I use rekorbox linked with itunes and mixed in key to analyse. I can export all playlists onto one USB with no playback issues, However i have been through 5 further different USBs to use as a second back up for emergencies. The problem is when i export from Rekrobox and use on a CDJ it works first time displaying all my playlists on teh CDJ, However when i switch the CDj of and use a 2 or 3rd time all Playlists have gone and only the root contents folder remains still with all the music but no playlists..
I continue to update and add to my working USB without a problem but each new USB i use works once then stops showing playlists.
(Please note when i connect back into Rekordbox is still shows the playlist) I suspect the playlist folder is being corrupted or somthing on export from Rekordbox ?? or have i just had bad luck with the last 5 USB's ?
Please help, many Thanks

@pulse I have had several . Latest one is a corsair USB2.0 with 64gb.
I also have a couple of Lear USB (2.0) with 64gb and another 32gb (3.0)
I used the MacBook format tool within the utilities function to format them . Is there another way to do this ?
Sorry that was Lexar USBs above
@Geoff > When you switch off the CDJ, are you stopping the USB and removing it before you power down the player?
I too am having the issue Geoff described except a little different.
USB is a LEXAR, MS-DOS (FAT32) Format *FAT32 is recommended for update and caused no issues on other usbs, if no solution I will reformat as journaled an retry.
Previous USBs caused no problems but they are now full. Every time I export a play list by right clicking on it and exporting to the device, it will process... take a very long time, and then when I go to play on the XDJ-RX it only shows the contents folders with all the artist folders. I am currently retrying, and going to update the XDJ-RX to the latest version to see if this resolves the issue. Could be the USB being shoddy, but prior to this I also did a disk utility wipe of it to make sure it was in the correct format as the other working USBs.
the root folder of the usb contains:
Contents>
(Multiple folders of artist names)
Pioneer>
Artwork
DEVSETTING.DAT
djprofile.nxs
MYSETTING.DAT
Rekordbox>
export.pdb
exportExt.pdb
USBANLZ>
(some sort of data file sorted)
P00B - P074
A possible solution? Is there a way I could some how copy and paste the playlist organization file into the USB where it should be nested? Not sure where to locate this file inside rekordbox's files.
unlike Geoff, my old play lists have not been altered.
Hope this helps
@Robert > It's possible the USB drive has become corrupted or damaged in some way and the files are unreadable, thus not showing the library. Please try formatting the drive and re-export the content to the device for testing.
Greetings from Switzerland , was just trying to find an answer about my “mystery“ which is happened to me today..i exported playlist on usb which Ive created in rekordbox...more than 30% of tracks are showing eror..what I totaly dont understand is: I was playing after export 10 x in club with no problem it Startes to show eror After long Time..how is it possible?????????thank you very much for your answer..thanks got it happend to me at home
@Miluse > I'm not sure I fully understand the problem... you exported a playlist to a USB drive, 30% of the tracks show an error, but the other 70% were playing fine for several events, but now they are giving you an error - is that correct?
What is the make / model of the USB drive?
How is it formatted (FAT32, HFS+)?
What are the types of files you're trying to export / play?
What is the filetype of those files that did NOT export?
What kind of CDJ were you playing it on?
What was the firmware version of that player?
Was the error on the player hosting the USB drive, or one that was linked?
