Sounds to me like it's possibly a bad fader - you should contact Pioneer technical support to have the unit serviced or find a repair shop near you.
Hi,
I've bought DDJ-SB about two months ago. Everything was working perfect up until last week when i started to notice that when I'm adjusting the track playing on the right the speed jumps more than i actually moved it. It started just a bit, but now i try to adjust track and the speed jumps up and down randomly for a bit before it stops, even tho I'm not touching the pitch fader no more. I just wanna ask if there is anything i can do before i bring it back to the shop for it to be looked at.
Thx

@Michal > Is the problem limited to one specific software application? I would try testing it with another program first to help narrow the problem to the fader.
What application are you currently using with the SB?
Yes it is, I am using only serato dj intro which came with it. What would you recommend to try?
Grab a free trial of Virtual DJ and set it up with the SB to see if that responds as expected, or you could use a MIDI monitoring application such as MIDI-OX (PC) or MIDI Monitor (Mac) to check and see if the signal is being sent for that control.
So I've tried the Virtual DJ and it does the same thing, but i realized that if i have track speed locked on zero and i start slightly pushing the pitch fader towards plus,it is moving the speed up before the fader even moves, I'm just pressing on it. It doesn't do it if I'm pushing it towards minus tho. I think the fader is gone, am i right?
Thank you for all your help, I've taken it back to the shop where i bought it and they will send it over to Pioneer. Thanks again
Let us know what they say.
Hey guys, ive got it back in 3 weeks and they have changed the fader for new one. It was faulty fader. Thank you for all your help.
