DDJ RX or RZ

Hello.

I'm after some opinions between the DDJ RX and RZ.

I was a CDJ1000 user long ago and now I currently dabble with Traktor. I'm looking to get back into DJ-ing  a little more seriously again which for me means switching back to Pioneer gear.

I'm currently looking at the Pioneer DDJ RX and RZ. Both controllers look sweet but I was hoping to get some opinions from some actual users. The most obvious question for me is the price difference between the two. Is the RX worth the extra price hike? It looks like a fairly big controller so not very portable to be turning up to gigs with.

I like the idea of being able to use Rekordbox so that I can also use CDJ's if venues have them. Being able to use these either of these controllers will allow me to turn up to a gig and be able to use CDJ's too without problems correct? i.e. the controllers mimmic the actions and feel of the CDJ's.

Any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards

Ben

Hi, i got em RX and say: If you really want to work with Rekordbox; Then take an RZ.

The Jogs are like the 2000s Jogs and the Mic Channels are separate.

Its more Fun to Work with the RZ (Or SZ)

I wait for the Next Big Controller like the RZ/SZ

Currently i work with the RX and Traktor-Its Nice-At Rekordbox i miss 2 of my favorite functions that Traktor got.....

(the functions are: Klick on an artist and see everything from this artist and the Label"Last time Played (with Date)

Hi, Thank you for the reply

So you you wouldnt recommend the RX for use with rekordbox then?

With the RX and Traktor set up can you use the remix decks in Traktor?

I've got an rx and love it. As already said, other than size, seperate mic channel, twin usb (allows 2 pcs to be connected at same time) There's not that much difference. Its up to you really. Do you think the hike in price justifies the feel? if yes go with RZ. Surely a more important aspect would be the Rekordbox integration if your playing clubs as this would allow prep and practice play with out full cdj djm setup at home.

As a side note both units allow DVS as well.....

Probably not the best advice but they're great pieces of kit and wont go wrong in my mind with either

Thanks for the help Stuart.

If I could clarify something you said though please

"Surely a more important aspect would be the Rekordbox integration if your playing clubs as this would allow prep and practice play with out full cdj djm setup at home."

I may be misinterpreting what you have said, but I was under the impression that both controllers allow for full Rekordbox intergration?

Thanks

Yes sorry it's how I worded the comment. They are both integrated into rekordbox. What I was trying to say is that the rekordbox features and integration of these controllers are to me more important than the size of the controller. So does the larger controller and few extra features justify the nearly double price. I'm by no way knocking the rz.
