@SLY > Can you narrow it down to figure out if there are specific tracks which are not being exported?
Only recently upgraded to RB4 (4.1.2) from 3.something having had a break from DJing for 12 months or so, and I'm going through the process of syncing playlists to a USB, which I've used many, many times before, and it was only syncing about half the tracks. I'm running Mac - El Capitan
Out of a collection of 1264 tracks, exactly 639 get synced. Previously with RB3, it was always 100%.
The USB stick (sandisk Extreme 128gb formatted to FAT32 using mac terminal diskutil command) doesn't show any errors. I've also tried using mac os x extended with same results. I've reformatted and repeated the exercise several times, with same results.
If I try to drag and drop to the device, approximately the same number (642) copy over.
Edit: Using a different USB (64gb), again, only 639 tracks synced.
Why are both USB sticks not allowing more than c.50gb of use?
Grateful for thoughts - apologies I'm a bit rusty on the workflow, but do remember exporting could be a pain!
Cheers

@SLY > Can you narrow it down to figure out if there are specific tracks which are not being exported?
Yes, out of a given playlist, it's always the same tracks that don't sync.
The weird thing, is that when I open up RB3, the missing tracks sync straight over??
I have repeated this exercise twice - once from my macbook and once from my iMac (both have shared database). The sam tracks sync from RB3, but won't sync from RB4.
I'll test with my full collection onto the 128gb usb, but doesn't look like it's a formatting issue, as I labelled this query, but is an issue specific to exporting on RB4.
Thanks for advice!
@SLY > If you're able to isolate which tracks, is there anything about those tracks which is unusual or different from the ones which do sync? Different file format, the length or location of the file name / path, unusual characters in the filename or metadata, album artwork, etc?
SOLVED: It's the sample rate metadata... On all the tracks that don't sync, the sample rate is shown as 0, as opposed to 320, 1411 or even 2304 on my high-res tracks.
In iTunes, the sample rate is correct and when I spectrum analyse those tracks, they show the correct sample rate.
I reanalysed the offending tracks, and the full sample rate shows in track information and all tracks sync properly. Don't know what might have caused that to have happened. RB3 also showed the tracks as 0 sample rate, but allowed me to sync them to USB, but upgrading to RB4 didn't allow it. The problem therefore could have dated back a long time.
Thanks for help and getting me to look at it methodically!

Yay! Glad you were able to nail that one down. So just a re-analysis within rekordbox solved that?
Yep. Just reanalysed the 0 sample rate tracks (>600 tracks) and then they all synced to USB perfectly and load onto my CJDs. I haven't yet fully explored RB4 compared to RB3, but everything seems good now. Thanks again for responding to my post.
Awesome - thanks for confirming, I'll keep that in mind for future cases.
